EPG Patient Direct is a 'one-stop' health portal providing the general public in Europe with a credible source of timely, independent, authoritative and trustworthy information for a broad range of health issues, from minor ailments through to serious, debilitating or life-threatening illnesses. It incorporates conventional medicine as well as lifestyle issues and preventative advice. Features include 'Quick Guides', seasonal supplements, news articles, links to pharmacies and support groups.
A major component of the site is the range of condition-specific, sponsored 'Quick Guides'. Supported by our partners in education (click here to view 'Partners' section), each interactive Quick Guide contains all the information that the user may need to know about a particular condition, including causes, signs and symptoms, treatments and general advice. By breaking down medical language barriers and raising patient/public awareness, the Quick Guides are intended to facilitate consultation and dialogue with health care professionals.
EPG Patient Direct funds and populates content through sponsorship, advertising and content syndication with a range of carefully selected, leading organisations including pharmaceutical companies, health organisations and information providers. Every effort is made to ensure that content is unbiased, well-balanced and in line with relevant European regulations. Support for this Web site will be clearly identified, including identification of any party who contributes content, services or funding to the site.
