IMR International Limited, developers of e-communication and clinical information solutions, today announced the launch of its public health portal; www.epgpatientdirect.org. The new resource, sanctioned by the European Medical Association, is dedicated to providing patients and the general public in Europe with a credible source of independent health-related information. EPG Patient Direct is the latest addition to the successful EPG web offering, including the doctor-focused EPG Online resource www.epgonline.org, which provides access to diagnosis and patient management guidance for healthcare professionals.

EPG Patient Direct launches Guide to ‘Snoring’ on new European health website.

The Snoring Quick Guide will include a background overview to snoring, its causes and health risks and information about what can be done to treat or minimize the effects of this serious and often destructive condition.

Guide to Meningitis launches on new European health website

Supported by the Meningitis Research Foundation, the ‘Meningitis and Septicaemia Quick Guide’ will join other interactive guides to form part of the EPG Patient Direct interactive knowledge ‘library’; a range of online guides designed specifically for use by the general public. Contained within the resource are overviews of meningitis and septicaemia; the different types, risk factors symptoms and complications; information about how they can be identified, prevented and treated, possible outcomes and links to other useful sources of information and support.
